At first glance the Blackberry Storm2 looks, feels and handles just like its predecessor. However this design is much more sophisticated.
Appearance:
The Storm2 has a very elegant look and feel with its brushed steel back and metallic trim. The front of the phone is pretty much clutter free. The only keys on the front are for menu, call, back and end call. The hard keys are on the sides of the phone. Volume and camera keys are on the right, voice dialing on the left. On the top are two soft keys, the power key and a key to silence calls and alerts.
The Blackberry Storm2 has very smart accelerometers. They allow you to turn the phone in any direction and the screen will correct itself to fit. You get a full Qwerty keypad when the phone is in the landscape format.
This phone weighs in at 160 grams and measures 112.5 mm x62.2 mm. The 3.25 inch screen has a resolution of 480×360 pixels.
Media:
Since the Storm2 is a Blackberry it still has all the e-mail abilities Blackberry is known for. It’s easy to sync to your online accounts. When a message comes in a little red light will flash in the top right hand corner, and then the icon that corresponds to that account will be highlighted with a red star.

Camera:
The 3.2 megapixel camera has some flaws. The LED flash seems to drain the color from the photos. You can’t experiment to get a good shot because you can’t change the viewfinder settings. And the zoom tends to stutter.
Sound:
The Blackberry Storm2 has a 3.5mm headset and the audio system supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA and WMA ProPlus. It also comes with a 3.5 headphone jack so you can use your favorite set of headphones.
Internet Connectivity:The Storm2 now has Wi-Fi. It can also connect via wireless LAN, Bluetooth or USB. The 3.25 inch screen lets you view most of the web pages in full length without having to optimize.
Navigating on the Storm2 is very enjoyable. Google maps and Blackberry maps are both available to the user. The GPS fix is also very strong.
Memory and Talk Time:
The Blackberry Storm2 has a 1400 mahr rechargeable cryptographic lithium cell giving the user 5 to 6 hours of talk time and 11 to 12 hours of stand-by time. If you are a heavy user, you may have to recharge your phone daily.
This phone has 256 MB Flash memory and a2GB embedded multimedia card.
Verdict:
The Blackberry Storm2 has many more features that we have not even discussed here, like the ability to invite others to join a phone conversation. However, it is not as smooth as other smartphones out there today. The email is very efficient and it has a sexy look but it still can’t compete with the other smartphone giants.
